Equipment Condition
Suspension isolation valve handle placed in ADJUST position (para. 2-6)
Gooseneck isolation valve handle placed in ADJUST position (para. 2-6)
Suspension isolation valves isolated at four corner bogies (para. 2-6)
General Safety Instructions
WARNING
Hydraulic fluid may be absorbed through the skin. Avoid prolonged exposure to
skin and wear long sleeves, gloves, and goggles or face shield. If hydraulic fluid
gets into the eyes, flush them immediately with water and seek medical attention.
If hydraulic fluid gets on skin, wash thoroughly with soap and water. Wash hands
thoroughly prior to eating or smoking.
Hydraulic fluid may be hot if system has been in operation. Allow time for system
to cool before performing maintenance or injury to personnel may result.
Residual pressure may remain in hydraulic lines. Open fittings slowly or injury to
personnel may result.
CAUTION
All fittings and openings must be capped or plugged immediately after opening to
prevent dirt, moisture, or foreign material from entering the hydraulic system or
damage to equipment may result.
REMOVAL
1.
Make sure hydraulic control module door panel is lowered (para. 2-6).
2.
Using two people, remove six capscrews (1), lockwashers (2), and lower panel (3) from hydraulic control module
(4). Carefully remove lower panel (3), with panel door attached, out from under semitrailer and place on platform.
