b. Instrument Panel (Diesel and Multifuel Engines).
Item and Function
Hand throttle control throttle knob is used to set engine speed at any desired rpm
without maintaining foot pressure on the accelerator pedal. When the throttle control
knob is pulled out, it locks in any desired position. Rotating the knob clockwise or
counterclockwise unlocks it.

Battery switch, when in the ON position, energizes all the vehicle electrical circuits except
the horns, lights, and manifold heater.
Engine stop control cuts off the flow of fuel to the fuel injector pump when the control

Fuel tank selector switch (multifuel dual-tank models) provides a fuel level reading on the
fuel gage for either left or right fuel tank depending on switch position.
Fuel gage indicates the amount of fuel in the fuel tank.
Speedometer/odometer indicates vehicle speed and total mileage.
indicates engine speed
in revolutions per minute (rpm).
Temperature gage indicates engine coolant temperture.
