Key
Hand throttle control throttle knob is used to set engine speed at any desired rpm

without maintaining foot pressure on the accelerator pedal. When the throttle control
knob is pulled out, it locks in any desired position. Rotating the knob clockwise or
counterclockwise unlocks it.
Manifold heater switch controls operation of the manifold heater and is used to facilitate
2
starting and warmup of a cold engine when temperatures are below +20 F.
Light switch controls the
operation of the
vehicle's lights (see page 2-48 for lighting
3
chart).
Battery switch, when in the ON position, energizes all the vehicle electrical circuits except
4
the horns, lights, and manifold heater.
Engine stop control cuts off the flow of fuel to the fuel injector pump when the control
5
knob is pulled out.
Fuel tank selector switch (multifuel dual-tank models) provides a fuel level reading on the
6
fuel gage for either left or right fuel tank depending on switch position.
Fuel gage indicates the amount of fuel in the fuel tank.

Speedometer/odometer indicates vehicle speed and total mileage.

Tachometer indicates
engine speed in
revolutions per minute (rpm).

Temperature gage indicates engine coolant temperture.
