CORRECTIVE ACTION
7. BRAKES WILL NOT APPLY OR APPLY SLOWLY - CONTINUED.
Check hydraulic fluid level in master cylinder (page 4-5).
Step 9.
If fluid level is low, fill to proper level (page 4-5).
Check for leakage of brake cylinder by looking for hydraulic fluid on tires or rim.
Step 10.
If brake cylinder is leaking, replace wheel cylinder (page 4-75).
Step 11.
If brakes will not adjust, remove wheels, drum, and hub, and replace
8. BRAKES GRAB.
Step 1.
Remove tire and wheel assembly and brakedrum and check for grease on brake
Step 2.
Check for worn or loose brake linings.
Step 3.
If linings are worn to within 0.030 inch (0.762 mm) above the rivets, or
Check for cracked, scored, and deformed brakedrum.
Step 4.
If brakedrum is cracked, scored, or deformed, replace drum
Step 5.
