INSPECTION AND CLEANING
WARNING
Drycleaning solvent PD-680 is both toxic and
flammable. Avoid prolonged breathing of vapors and
avoid skin contact. Do not use near open flame or
excessive heat. Flash point of solvent is
138F (59C).
Be sure to wear safety goggles or lenses when using
compressed air. Compressed air and particles
moved by compressed air can cause damage to your
eyes.
When brake linings are worn to within 0.030 inch
(0.762 mm) of the rivets, they must be replaced.
Failure to do so could result in injury or death to
personnel.
CAUTION
Do not get grease, oil, solvent, or fingerprints on
lining surfaces. This will cause glazed linings and
uneven braking and can result in having to replace
otherwise good linings.
