(c) After cleaning, all parts should be covered or wrapped to protect them
from dust and dirt. Parts which are subject to rust should be lightly
oiled.
b. Steam Cleaning.
WARNING
t o avoid potentially serious burns and dangerous noise
levels. To prevent injury, user must wear protective
g o g g l e s or face shield and ear protection when using
( 1 ) Protect all electrical equipment which could be damaged by the steam or
moisture before steam cleaning the exterior of the semitrailer.
(2) Place disassembled parts in a suitable container to steam clean.
(3) After cleaning, dry and cover (or lightly oil) all parts subject to rust.

psi. Particles blown by compressed air are hazardous.
M a k e certain the air stream is directed away from user
and other personnel in the area. To prevent injury, user
m u s t wear protective goggles or face shield when using
compressed air.
(4) Blow out all tapped (threaded) holes with compressed air to remove dirt
and cleaning fluids.
C. ElectricalCables,FlexibleHoses,andOilSeals.
CAUTION
Do not use dry cleaning solvent to clean rubber, plastic,
or synthetic materials. Washing oil seals, electrical
mineral spirits will cause serious damage or destroy the
material.
NOTE
Wash electrical cables and flexible hose with water and
mild soap solution and wipe dry. Oil seals are generally
d a m a g e d during removal, s o cleaning will not be necessary
b e c a u s e new seals will be used in assembly.
