INSTALLATION - Continued
21. Position ABS diagnostic plug (2) in mounting bracket (6) with ridge on top of ABS diagnostic plug
aligned with slot in mounting bracket.
NOTE
The following two steps require the aid of an assistant.
22. Install ABS diagnostic plug (2) in mounting bracket (7) with four screws(9).
23. Position mounting bracket (7) on trailer (8) with two bolts (6), lanyard (5), lockwashers (4), and nuts
(3).
24. Tighten two nuts (3) to 48 lb-in (6 Nm).
25. Install ABS diagnostic tool (1) on ABS diagnostic plug (2).
OPERATIONAL CHECK
1. Couple trailer. (WP 0009 00, Coupling Trailer).
2. Road test trailer and check for proper brake operation.
3. Perform Brake System Troubleshooting and check for diagnostic codes.
