AXLE ASSEMBLY (MTVT) REPLACEMENT - Continued

INSTALLATION - Continued
NOTE
Left and right side shock absorbers are connected the same way. Left side shown.
18. Position shock absorber (21) in shock mounting plate (3) with bolt (2) and self-locking nut (1).
19. Tighten self-locking nut (1) to 135-164 lb-ft (183-223 Nm).
20. Perform steps (18) and (19) on right side of shock mounting plate.
OPERATIONAL CHECK
1.
Install torque rods (on axle being worked) (WP 0097 00, Installation).
2.
Install ABS wheel speed sensors (on axle being worked) (WP 0054 00, Installation).
3.
Install stabilizer bar (rear axle) (WP 0091 00, Installation.
4.
Couple trailer (WP 0009 00, Coupling Trailer).
5.
Operate trailer and check for normal operation (WP 0011 00, Towing Trailer).
6.
Uncouple trailer (WP 0012 00, Uncoupling Trailer).
7.
Inspect axle assembly for secure installation.
