FRONT CROSSMEMBER REPLACEMENT - Continued

REMOVAL, LMTVT - Continued
CAUTION
When removing bolts, continuous removal of collars is mandatory. Failure to comply will
result in seizing of collar to bolt.
Ensure clamp and attached cable assembly forward of the front crossmember are
positioned clear of the frame rail prior to removal of front crossmember. Failure to
comply may result in damage to equipment.
NOTE
Left and right sides of front crossmember are removed the same way. Right side
shown.
Steps (2) through (4) require the aid of an assistant.
2.
Remove six collars (14) and bolts (15) from front crossmember (13). Discard collars and bolts.
3.
Perform step (2) on left side of front crossmember (13).
4.
Slide front crossmember (13) forward along frame rails (16) and remove from trailer.
