SECTION II. OPERATOR PREVENTIVE MAINTENANCE CHECKS AND SERVICES (PMCS)
2-2. GENERAL.
Preventive Maintenance Checks and Services (PMCS) means systematic caring, inspecting, and servicing of equipment
to keep it in good condition and to prevent breakdowns. Figure 2-2 (PMCS routing diagram) and Table 2-2 (PMCS table)
have been provided so you can keep your equipment in good operating condition and ready for its primary mission. As
the operator, your mission is to:
a. Be sure to perform your PMCS each time you operate the equipment. Always do your PMCS in the same order,
so it becomes a habit. Once you've had some practice, you'll quickly spot anything wrong.
b. Perform BEFORE PMCS immediately before operating the air conditioner. Pay attention to all WARNINGs,
CAUTIONs, and NOTEs.
c. Perform DURING PMCS while operating the air conditioner. During operation means to monitor the equipment
and it's related components while it is actually being operated. Pay attention to all WARNINGs, CAUTIONs, and
NOTEs.
