Section I. INTRODUCTION
1. General.
a. This bulletin for Boat, Passenger and Cargo: Steel, 65 Ft., Design 2001, is intended as an aid in identification,
procurement, requisitioning, assembly, storage, and issue of operating equipment, operating supplies, onboard
repair parts, and accessory items aboard the vessel.
b. The Boat Set will be issued initially complete by ATCOM.
c.
Requisitions for replacement of component items will be submitted to the managing activity having issue
responsibility.
d. When watercraft is transferred or returned to inactive status, the Boat Set will be complete and turned in with the
vessel.
2. Format of Technical Bulletin. This technical bulletin is divided into the following:
a. Section II Operating Equipment. This section lists equipment necessary for the operating of the vessel exclusive
of accessory equipment.
b. Section III Operating Supplies. This section lists operating supplies which are consumed in use, exclusive of
repair parts. They are required for the operation, maintenance, health and welfare of the crew.
c. Section IV On Board Repair Parts. This section lists operating supplies which are consumed in use, exclusive of
repair parts. They are required for the operation, maintenance, health, and welfare of the crew.

Section V Accessory Items. This section lists accessory equipment on
board which are installed by
the
manufacturer or by the Issuing agency and are considered as a part of the basic configuration of the vessel.
3. Excess Items. This bulletin does not constitute authorization for exceeding or disposing or disposing of any operating
equipment, supplies, or on board spare parts which are currently on board or marked for this vessel. Excess items will be
exhausted by normal attrition.
4. Composition of Technical Bulletin. The component listing within each section is in alphabetical sequence by item
name and contains the following data:
a. National Stock Number (NSN). A number listed in this publication for use in all supply operations.
b. Description. The item descriptions included are listed in alphabetical sequence by item name, with additional
descriptive information required for identification:
(1) Manufacturer's Code, part numbers, and/or the applicable specification references.
(2) Pertinent information and notes applicable to the set follow the last component.
c. Quantity Per Set (Qty). This column lists the quantities of each component authorized.
d. Expendability Recoverability (Rec) Code. This one digit code indicates the method or condition under which the
repair parts can be recovered. Absence of a code indicates the item is expendable. Codes that appear are defined as
follows:
