3. Test the electric motor windings (figure 2, item 3) for continuity between the electric motor windings and the
electric motor housing (figure 2, item 4) (FM 55-509).
4. Perform step 3 for each of the motor winding leads (figure 2, item 3).

5. There should be no continuity between the motor windings and motor housing. Resistance should be present
between the electric motor winding leads and the electric motor housing.
6. If continuity is present, replace the electric motor. If no continuity is present, continue with this procedure
7. Perform the Replace Motor Bearings Assembly procedure in this work package.
