If the M876 truck engine consistently overheats, check for the following possible causes:
a.
Accumulation of dirt, dust, sand or insects clogging the radiator fins.
WARNING
Particles blown by compressed air can be hazardous. Make
certain the air stream Is directed away from user, and other
personnel in the area. User must wear protective safety eye
shield when using compressed air In cleaning.
b.
Clean clogged radiator fins with water hose.
NOTE
Fan belt deflection of 1/2 Inch (1.27 cm) or less is normal.
c.
If the fan belts are loose, or require replacement, notify Organizational Maintenance.
