NOTE
If disabled vehicle has towing shackles installed,
remove shackles and stow in disabled vehicle.
Soldier B position crosstube (7) so holes in adapters (17) aline with rear
tow eyes (22).
WARNING
Keep hands and fingers away from adapters and tow
eyes when operating retriever controls. Personal injury
could result.
(19) Insert two 7/8-in. (22 mm) pins (23) through adapters (17) and rear tow
eyes (22). Install two hairpins (24) in pins (23).
