WARNING
Do not stand behind adapters when pins are being

removed. Adapters may swing down resulting in
personal injury.
Keep hands and fingers away from adapter and tow
q
eyes when operating retrieval controls. Personal
injury could result.
CAUTION
Adapters will swing down and can hit blackout lights
causing equipment damage.
NOTE
Use retrieval controls to position crosstube to relieve
tension from adapters.
(11) Remove two hairpins (13) and 1-7/16 in. (38 mm) pins (14) from
adapters (15).
(12) Remove adapters (15) from tow eyes (16) on disabled vehicle.
(13) Install hairpins (13) in 1-7/16-in. (38 mm) pins (14) and stow.
