LUNETTE REPLACEMENT.

One cotter pin

REMOVAL
1.
Remove cotter pin (1) and nut (2) securing lunette
(4) to frame. Discard cotter pin.
2.
Remove lunette (4) and washer (3).
b.
INSTALLATION
NOTE
On M1 98 and M1 98A1, lunette may be installed in either of two positions. Install lunette
in position required to match pintle on towing vehicle.
1.
Install lunette (4) through hole in frame.
2.
Install washer (3) and nut (2) on lunette (4).
3.
Secure nut (2) with new cotter pin (1).
