SPRINGS
a. Check springs for any evidence of damage or sagging.
b. Check for loose clips for shifted leaves.
DATA PLATES

Assure legibility and condition of data plates. Replace damaged or disfigured
plates.
ROAD TEST

a. Perform road test. Give special attention to items that were repaired or adjusted.
b. Check brake drums and hubs immediately after road test; cautiously feel brake
drums and hubs.
c. Be alert during road tests for any unusual noises that may indicate damage or
looseness in springs.
NOTE
An overheated wheel hub and brake drum indicates an improperly
adjusted or defective brake or dry wheel bearing. An abnormally
cool condition indicates an inoperative brake.
