FORDING
1.
Before entering water, check the bottom surface condition. If bottom surface is too soft, do not ford.
2.
Protect cables, connectors, and terminals by spraying them with ignition insulation compound.
3.
After coming out of water, apply the brakes a few times to help dry out the brake linings. Make sure the
semitrailer brakes are operating properly before driving at normal speeds.

Drain or dry all areas where water is lying.
5.
Lubricate all unpainted surfaces with lubricative oil.
6.
Dry all lubricating points and lubricate them. See lubrication chart, page 4-3.
