b. CLEANING AND INSPECTION
WARNING
Dry cleaning solvent, P-D-680, is toxic and flammable. Always wear
protective goggles and gloves, and use only in a well-ventilated area.
Avoid contact with skin, eyes, and clothes, and DO NOT breathe vapors.
DO NOT use near open flame or excessive heat. The solvent's flash
point is 100 -138 (38 -59 ). If you become dizzy while using

cleaning solvent, Immediately get fresh air and medical help. If solvent
contacts eyes, immediately wash your eyes and get medical aid.
1. Remove all buildup of dirt or grease by using a clean rag or medium bristle brush and dry cleaning solvent, and
allow to dry.
2. Inspect for loose, missing, or damaged hardware.
3. Inspect air reservoir for cracks, dents, holes, and warps.
4. Inspect mounting brackets for cracks, warps, and broken welds.
5. Inspect for rust, corrosion, or marred finish.
c. INSTALLATION
1. Install four screws (2), grommets (3), air reservoir (6), four washers (5), and new locknuts (7) on bracket (4).
2. Install drain valve (8) into air reservoir (6).
3. Install shield (1) with six new lockwashers (10) and screws (9).
FOLLOW-ON TASKS:
Connect wheel-to-air reservoir air lines to air reservoir (para 4-40).
Pressurize airbrake system (para 2-10) and check for leaks.
