WARNING
Dry Cleaning Solvent P-D-680 is TOXIC and flammable. Wear protective goggles
and gloves; use only in well-ventilated area; avoid contact with skin, eyes, and
clothes, and do not breathe vapors. Keep away from open flame. Never smoke
when using Dry Cleaning Solvent; the flashpoint for Type I Dry Cleaning Solvent
is 100F (38C) and for Type II is 130F (50C). Failure to comply may result in
serious injury or death to personnel.
If personnel become dizzy while using Dry Cleaning Solvent, immediately get
fresh air and medical help. If Dry Cleaning Solvent contacts skin or clothes, flush
with cold water. If Dry Cleaning Solvent contacts eyes, immediately flush eyes
with water and get immediate medical attention. Failure to comply may result in
serious injury to personnel.

Clean all surfaces coated with rust-preventive compound with Dry Cleaning Solvent (Item 32, WP 0176

Clean trailer body, frame, gladhands, lights, tires, electrical plugs and receptacles, and winch cable
assembly (WP 0046 00, Cleaning Trailer).
PRELIMINARY SERVICING OF EQUIPMENT
1.
Perform the semiannual Preventive Maintenance Checks and Services (PMCS) (WP 0042 00, Table 10.
Preventive Maintenance Checks and Services (PMCS) - Semi-Annual).
2.
Lubricate all points shown in WP 0042 00, Table 10. Preventive Maintenance Checks and Services
(PMCS) - Semi-Annual, regardless of interval.
3.
Schedule a semiannual service in accordance with DA PAM 738-750.
Tighten self-locking nuts on leaf spring U-bolts to 390-510 lb-ft (530-690 Nm), in 50 lb-ft (68 Nm)
4.
increments, in a crisscross pattern after initial three months of use of trailer.
5.
If deficiencies appear to involve unsatisfactory design, report deficiencies on DA Form 2407.
