INSTALLATION - Continued
WARNING
Adhesives, solvents, and sealing compounds can burn easily, can give off
harmful vapors, and are harmful to skin and clothing. Keep away from open fire
and use in a well-ventilated area. If adhesive, solvent, or sealing compound
gets on skin or clothing, wash immediately with soap and water. Failure to
comply may result in injury to personnel.
NOTE
Clean fittings and front brake air chamber of all sealing compound residue prior to
installation.
6.
Apply sealing compound to threads of 90-degree fittings (9, 10, and 11).
CAUTION
Brake chamber fittings are to be installed hand tight. Then tighten with a wrench an additional 1
to 2 turns until fittings align with air hose. Do not back out fitting. Failure to comply may result in
damage to equipment.
7.
Install 90-degree fittings (9, 10, and 11) in brake air chamber (12).
