9.
Install collet nut (6) on brake air chamber (5) to bottom of threads.
WARNING
Adhesives, solvents, and sealing compounds can burn easily, can give off
harmful vapors, and are harmful to skin and clothing. Keep away from open fire
and use in a well-ventilated area. If adhesive, solvent, or sealing compound
gets on skin or clothing, wash immediately with soap and water. Failure to
comply may result in injury to personnel.
10. Apply antiseize compound to threads of brake air chamber (5).
WARNING
Spring brakes must be caged prior to installation of brake air chamber. Failure
to comply may result in serious injury or death to personnel.
11. Install brake air chamber (5) in plunger housing (7) until it bottoms.
CAUTION
Loosen rear brake air chamber no more than one full turn. Failure to comply may result in
damage to equipment.
12. Tighten collet nut (6) against plunger housing (7).
