SHOCK MOUNTING PLATE REPLACEMENT - Continued

INSTALLATION, LMTVT
NOTE
Left and right side shock mounting plates are installed the same way. Left side shown.
1.
Position shock mounting plate (8) on axle (9) with two U-bolts (7), four washers (6), and self-
locking nuts (5).
Tighten four self-locking nuts (5) to 200 lb-ft (271 Nm).

Retighten four self-locking nuts (5) in increments of 50 lb-ft (67 Nm) to 390-510 lb-ft (530-690

Nm) in sequence shown.
OPERATIONAL CHECK
Install shock absorbers (WP 0075 00, Installation).
