AXLE BOGIE SHAFT (MTVT) REPLACEMENT - Continued

INSTALLATION
NOTE
Left and right side axle bogie shafts are installed the same way. Right side shown.
1.
Apply light coat of grease to axle bogie shaft (3).
NOTE
Steps (2) through (4) require the aid of an assistant.
2.
Position axle bogie shaft (3) on frame rail (6) with four bolts (5) and self-locking nuts (4).
3.
Position four bolts (7) and self-locking nuts (8) in axle bogie shaft (3).
Tighten four self-locking nuts (4 and 8) to 210-225 lb-ft (285-305 Nm).
4.
OPERATIONAL CHECK
Assemble axle bogie (WP 0121 00, Assembly).
