APU
WARNING
Use protective gloves when inspecting the
APU or serious injury to personnel could result
from engine heat.
When checking for leaks, never open any type
of fluid holding tanks while APU is hot or
severe burns from the spraying of hot fluids
may result. Give the systems time to cool
before attempting to make any fluid checks.
NOTE
If gooseneck is lowered to lowest position, oil
level in APU will appear low on dipstick. If oil
is visible on dipstick, APU may be started to
adjust gooseneck to normal running height.
Prior to checking fluid levels on semitrailer,
both gooseneck and platform must be placed
at normal running height for accurate
readings.
