Disconnect input power to the air conditioner before performing any internal maintenance.
Voltages used can KILL. Shutting the unit off at the control panel does not disconnect
unit power

Disconnect air conditioner input power at source,

Remove electrical access cover (6) (see fig 5-28); and

Tag and disconnect leads
NOTE
The compressor and motor assembly are hermetically sealed in a metal canister and are
repairable.

Inspect for evidence of leaks or damaged lines, and loose or missing mounting hardware.
