NOTE
ZCommon problems in the retrieval system that may be
found are:
1. Slow or abnormal operation.
2. Will not lift disabled vehicle.
3. Will not hold disabled vehicle in raised position.
Common causes of the problem are:
1. Cold hydraulic oil (slow operation).
2. Low engine speed (slow or abnormal operation).
3. Operating two retrieval functions at same time (slow
operation).
4. Low hydraulic oil.
Report all problems to organizational maintenance.

1. CONTROLS STICKING IN ENGAGED POSITION.
WARNING
Reservoir may become very hot. Be careful when placing
hand near reservoir. Reservoir can become hot enough to
cause serious burns.
Step 1. Check for overheated hydraulic oil by carefully placing hand near
hydraulic reservoir.
If reservoir is very hot, shut off engine. Let oil cool, then
continue operation.
