f. Clean, inspect, and replace brake internal components as re-
quired (para 4-26 or 4-27).
g. Test airbrake chamber pushrod travel (para 422). Adjust brakes
as required (para 423 or 4-24).

BEARINGS
Remove wheels, hubs, and wheel bearings. Cl ean, inspect, and
pack wheel bearings. Replace wheel bearings as required
(para 440 or 441).

WHEELS
Torque wheel stud nuts to 450-500 lb.-ft. (610-678 N.m).

SUSPENSION
SYSTEM
Check torsion bars or springs, shock absorbers, and radius rods
for damage. Tighten all assemblies and mounting hardware.

ELECTRICAL
SYSTEM
a. Check chassis wiring hamess, clips, shells, grommets, and
junc-
tion box for damage.
b. Check intervehicular cable for da mage.
c. Replace/repair inoperative/damaged lights or components.
