Adjust brakes.

If possible, perform a road test
of semitrailer. At all times during the
test be alert for unusual or excessive
noises that may indicate damages, looseness,
defects and deficient lubrication.
c. Make several stops, noting side
pull, noise, chatter or any other unusual
condition.
d. Disconnect air hoses from towing
vehicle and note if semitrailer brakes apply.

BRAKE DRUMS AND HUBS
WARNING
Overheated brake drums and hubs
can cause severe burns to person-
nel when touched.
Immediately after road test, cautiously
feel brake drums and hubs.
NOTE
An overheated hub and brake drum
indicates an improperly adjusted,
defective or dry wheel bearing, or
dragging brake.
An abnormally cool condition Indi-
cates an inoperative brake.
