REMOVAL
1. Hold adapter (1) stationary with a wrench and
unscrew half-coupling (2).
2. Pry packing ring (3) from body. Discard packing
ring.
CLEANING
1. Clean mud and dirt from all exposed surfaces with water and a stiff brush.
WARNING
Cleaning solvent, used to clean parts, is potentially dangerous to
personnel and property. Do not use near open flame or excessive
heat. Flash point of solvent is 138F (58.8C).
2. Remove grease with cleaning solvent (item 3, appendix E)
