ONE OR MORE (BUT NOT ALL) LAMPS FAIL TO LIGHT
Check composite light for damage.
Step 1.
Notify Organizational Maintenance.
Check for broken lead wires or loose connectors.
Step 2.
If connectors are loose, tighten.
If lead wires are broken, notify Organizational Maintenance.
DIM OR FLICKERING LAMPS.

Check for proper connection of intervehicular cable assembly and wiring harness throughout
Step 1.
trailer.
If intervehicular cable assembly and wiring harness are not properly connected, connect.
Check wiring harness connectors for loose, dirty, or corroded contacts and terminals.
Step 2.
If connectors are loose, tighten.
If connector contacts and terminals are dirty or corroded, clean (para 3-7).
BRAKES
4. BRAKES WILL NOT RELEASE (OVERHEAT).
Check shut-off valves on towing vehicle.
Step 1.
Open shut-off valves on towing vehicle.
Ensure that handbrake levers are fully released.
Step 2.
Check if the inertia brake actuator emergency brake cable is released (XM979 and XM1061)
Step 3.
Pull emergency brake release cable to release brakes.
If inertia brake actuator is being used, check if air reservoir is fully drained of air pressure (XM979
Step 4.
and XM1061).
Step 5.
Connect air hoses properly.
