e. DESCRIPTION AND USABLE ON CODE (Uoc) ( Column( 5 ) ) . T h i s c o l u m n i n c l u d e s t h e
following information:
( 1 ) The Federal item name and, when required, a minimum description to identify
the item.
(2) The physical security classification of the item is indicated by the
p a r e n t h e t i c a l e n t r y , e . g . , Phy Sec Cl (C)-Confidential. No physical security
classification is applicable to the M871A2 Semitrailer.
(3) Items that are included in kits and sets are listed below the name of the
kit or set on Figure KIT.
( 4 ) Spare/repair parts that make up an assembled item are listed immediately
following the assembled item line entry.
(5) Part numbers for bulk materials are referenced in this column in the line
item entry for the item to be manufactured/fabricated.
( 6 ) When the item is not used with all serial numbers of the same model, the
effective serial numbers are shown on the last line(s) of the description (before
U O C ) . Not applicable to the M871A2 Semitrailer.
( 7 ) The usable on code, w h e n a p p l i c a b l e ( s e e p a r a g r a p h F - 5 , S p e c i a l
information).
( 8 ) I n t h e S p e c i a l T o o l s L i s t s e c t i o n , t h e basis of issue (BOI) appears as the
last line(s) in the entry for each special tool, special TMDE, and other special
support equipment. When density of equipments supported exceeds density spread indi-
cated in the basis of issue, the total authorization is increased proportionately.
