Winch -
Do not over-lubricate the landing gear winch
Continued
brake bushings. Over-lubricating may cause
oil to leak on the friction discs, which may
damage the friction discs or result in poor
operation of the disc brake. Failure to
comply may result in damage to equipment.
3. Place one or two drops of GO-85/140 into
the hole in the landing gear winch brake
housing (31) marked "oil." Turn the brake
several times to allow the oil to penetrate.
4. Lubricate landing gear winch bearings,
shafts, and gear teeth by applying two to
three drops of GO-85/140 to all friction
points. Rotate drum several times for oil to
penetrate, and wipe off excess
oil to prevent dirt accumulation.
