REAR CROSSMEMBER REPLACEMENT - Continued

REMOVAL
NOTE
The rear crossmember is removed the same way from both trailers. The LMTVT shown.
Left and right sides of rear crossmember are removed the same way. Right side shown.
Steps (1) through (3) require the aid of an assistant.
1. Remove two pins (1) and shackles (2) from rear crossmember (3).
CAUTION
When removing bolts, continuous removal of collars is mandatory. Failure to comply will
result in seizing of collar to bolt.
2.
Remove four collars (4) and bolts (5) from rear crossmember (3). Discard collars and bolts.
3.
Perform step (2) on left side of rear crossmember (3).
4.
Remove rear crossmember (3) from trailer.
