TONGUE ASSEMBLY REPLACEMENT - Continued

REMOVAL - Continued
WARNING
Tongue assembly weighs approximately 290 lbs (130 kgs). Attach a suitable
lifting device prior to removal of collars and bolts. Failure to comply may
result in injury to personnel or damage to equipment.
CAUTION
Attach sling prior to removal of collars and bolts. Failure to comply may result in
damage to equipment.
When removing bolts, continuous removal of collars is mandatory. Failure to comply
may result in seizing of collar to bolt.
NOTE
Left and right side tongue assembly are removed the same way. Left side shown.
Steps (3 and 4) require the aid of an assistant.
3.
Remove four collars (4) and bolts (5) from lifting beam (6). Discard collars and bolts.
4.
Remove four collars (7) and bolts (8) from front mounting plate (9). Discard collars and bolts.
5.
Perform steps (3 and 4) on right side of trailer.
NOTE
Step (6) requires the aid of two assistants.
6.
Remove tongue assembly (2) from frame rails (10).
