Do not attach swab holder.
1. Screw cleaning rod sections and handle (A) together.
2. Open cradle access door (page 2-345).
3. Lift latch (E). Raise cover (F).
4.
Remove any ammunition.
5.
Set machine gun mechanical safety
(D) to F (fire).
