ASSEMBLY OR GROUP
DESCRIPTION
Jacket assembly group
(Items 1 through 4) Secured to front portion of the receiver assembly (trunnion block).
Designed for quick removal. Consists of jacket assembly, with bearing lock and barrel
assembly.
Cover assembly
(Item 5)
Located on top of the receiver assembly over the feed tray group. Secured to receiver by
the right and left latch rod assemblies. It feeds the belt and positions and holds the
cartridges for chambering. The feed mechanism is actuated by a stud on the barrel
extension, which engages the feed cam.
Feed tray group
(Item 6)
Located on top of receiver assembly under the cover assembly. It is composed of the
cartridge stop assembly and the feed tray assembly. The feed tray group serves as a
guide for the belt to assist in positioning the cartridges and provides directional control for
link ejection.
