a. Removal
Using screwdriver, remove eight, outermost, screws from filter mounting plate.

Slip plate and filter out and support filter.
WARNING
Capacitors can retain a high electrical charge. Touching the terminals of a charged
capacitor can result in severe electrical shock and skin burns. Always ground the terminals
of a capacitor as soon as they are exposed.
Disconnect the P10 and P11 plugs from the radio frequency filter.

Discharge filter capacitors at connector, (J10).

Using screwdriver, remove six screws from mounting plate and filter.

Separate filter mounting plate and radio frequency filter.
b. Inspection/Test
(1) Check radio frequency filter for dents, punctures, and evidence of overheating.
(2) Check connectors J10 and J11 for loose, missing, or broken contacts.
(3) Replace filter if badly dented, punctured, burnt, or connectors have loose, missing, or broken
cent acts.
(4) Using multimeter, check continuity between J11 contacts A, B, and C to filter case. If continuity is
indicated, replace filter.
