d. EVAPORATOR AIRFLOW. From the conditioned space, the evaporator blower pulls air through a filter and across
the evaporator coil, and delivers the filtered, cooled air into the conditioned space. A manually-operated damper (figure 2-1)
can be adjusted to admit fresh air upstream from the blower.
e. HUMIDITY. Heat is extracted from the air flowing across the evaporator coil. Cooling the air extracts excess
moisture, lowering the relative humidity of the air delivered to the conditioned space. The extracted moisture collects on the
evaporator coil as drops of water, drips down into a drain pan and empties out of the air conditioner through the drain line
