SECTION II. MAINTENANCE PROCEDURES
Measure ambient outside temperature.
Operate air conditioner in COOL mode with maximum INCREASE
temperature setting for at least 15 minutes.
Measure condenser discharge air temperature which should be 20 F to
30 F (1 C to 7 C) above ambient.
Measure temperature of air going into (return) and out of (discharge)
Discharge should be 15 F to 25 F (-4 C to 10 C) lower than return
GENERAL REPAIR PROCEDURES
The following instructions are provided for use by refrigeration
shops furnished with only the most basic equipment. If more
complex equipment, such as two valve or four valve service
manifolds are available, they should be used by making appropriate
modifications to these instructions.
