HIGH SPEED POWER TURNS
WARNING
Do not drop (lower) scoop reverse deflectors during high speed
movement! Failure to comply may result in injury or death to
personnel and damage to equipment.
Ensure all engine hatches are closed and secured while boat is
under operation. Failure to comply may result in injury or death
to personnel.
NOTE
The following instructions are based on the assumption that the
boat is in forward movement at a high rate of speed, with engine
RPM above 1800.
1. Center STEERING WHEEL.
2. Warn all crewmembers of high speed turn.
3. Commence high speed movement.
4. To make a high speed starboard turn, view starboard and aft directions to
ensure desired area is clear, turn STEERING WHEEL (1) clockwise.
5. To make a high speed port turn, view port and aft directions to ensure desired
area is clear, turn STEERING WHEEL (1) counterclockwise.
