To Assemble Breechblock Assembly:
NOTE
If you are replacing obturator pad with a new pad, see page 3-197 for procedure to
decide if shims are necessary. If you are not replacing obturator pad, be sure to
install any shims that you removed.
1. If shimming is necessary,
aline holes on shim
(AN) with pins (AP)
on breechblock (L).
Install shim (AN) on breechblock.
NOTE
Check that obturator seat (AM) compresses
buffers (AQ).
2.
Aline holes in obturator
seat (AM ) with pins
(AP) on breechblock.
Install obturator seat
(AM), flat side to breechblock.
3.
Place obturator pad
(AK) on spindle (AJ),
with hollow side against spindle.
