Be sure that all the old lubricants and foreign materials

Procedures for both left and right sides are the same.
d. Inspection. Inspect surfaces for cracks, breaks,
nicks or burrs, and replace if necessary.
Polish
(1) Disconnect lines carefully to
relieve
accessible machined surfaces with crocus cloth and then
wash with drycleaning solvent.
(2) Remove four screws securing top guard
(3) Remove four screws, lockwashers, and

washers securing top guard to front guard, and remove
top guard (view B).

c. Cleaning. Clean all parts with drycleaning solvent.
