(1) Remove compressor V-belts (para 4-38).
(2) Discharge the refrigeration system (para 5-10).
WARNING
Dangerous pressure can remain trapped in compressor cylinder head. Removal of cylinder head
bolts prior to relieving pressure can result in personal injury.
(3) Loosen but do not remove six screws (1), and two studs (2). Ifcylinder head (3) is not loose, tap with
lightweight hammer to loosen.
