UNIT MAINTENANCE INSTRUCTIONS
Section I. REPAIR PARTS, SPECIAL TOOLS, TMDE, AND SUPPORT EQUIPMENT
Repair parts for the air conditioner are listed and illustrated in
4.1 MAINTENANCE REPAIR PARTS.

4.2 COMMON TOOLS AND EQUIPMENT. For common tools and equipment refer to the Table of Organization
and Equipment (TOE).
4.3 SPECIAL TOOLS AND TEST EQUIPMENT. No special tools or test equipment is required.

SERVICE UPON RECEIPT.
4.5.1 Unloading. The air conditioner is shipped in a crate which has a skid pallet base. It should be handled with fork
lift equipment with at least 300 pound ( 136.2 kg) capacity. Reasonable precaution should be taken to prevent damage by
dropping or bumping. Keep the unit upright during unloading.
4.5.2 Unpacking. Move the equipment as close to the site of installation, as possible, before unpacking. Remove
crating hardware and metal straps, being careful not to damage the unit with the tools used in uncrating.
Checking Unpacked Equipment.
4.5.3
Inspect the equipment for damage incurred during shipment. If the equipment has been damaged, report the dam-

age on DA Form 368, Quality Deficiency Report (QDR).

Check the equipment against the packing slip to see if the shipment is complete. Report all discrepancies in accor-
dance with the instructions of DA PAM 738-750.

Check to see whether the equipment has been modified.
