d. High Heat Operation
NOTE
The temperature control knob operates one bank of heating
elements. In HI-HEAT, a second bank of elements is continuously
ON.
(1) Turn mode selector to HI-HEAT. After 5 seconds, airflow can be felt
(2) Turn temperature control knob to increase. After 2 minutes, discharge air will
feel warmer than ambient air. When shelter temperature rises to the desired level, turn
temperature control knob slowly toward DECREASE. Heating will stop when temperature
control senses heating is no longer required.
NOTE
Use HI-HEAT when LO-HEAT fails to raise the shelter
temperature.
CAUTION
Move to VENTILATE to remove heat from electric heaters. Heaters
could be damaged by heat buildup.
(3) To stop heating, move mode selector (5) to VENTILATE for 5 minutes. After a 5
minute vent operation, move switch to off.
