Do not attempt any disassembly of the solenoid valve other than coil removal with a
refrigerant charge in the system. Refrigerant will be sprayed out dangerously if the screws
that attach the tube and plunger assembly to the valve body are loosened.
REMOVAL
Remove top nut (2), coil (4), data plate (3), and connector plug (1).

Cut plastic tie down straps (5) as necessary to remove solenoid valve cable.

Remove connector plug (1) from coil (4) leads. (See para 4-20.)

INSTALLATION
Attach connector plug (1) to coil (4) leads. (See para 4-20.)

Place coil assembly (4) and data plate (3) onto valve body (6) and secure with nut (2).

Reconnect connector plug (1).

Secure wires to existing harnesses with new plastic tie down straps (5).

If unit is to be operated in COOL mode at or below 0F (-17.8C) ambient the low
pressure cutout (LPCO) switch (S5) must be jumpered.
