3-16. MOISTURE AND OIL TRAP -- MAINTENANCE INSTRUCTIONS
INSPECTION AND SERVICING

LOWER BACK PANEL (1). Remove 10 screws (2), 10 washers (3), and
remove.

JAR (4).
a. Check to see if broken, cracked, or filled with foreign matter. Notify
general support maintenance.
b.
Remove for cleaning by loosening thumbscrew (5), then hold the jar
with one hand and swing the bail (6) to one side with other hand.
c.
Clean with cleaning compound (item 3, app C) using rag (item 14,
app C).

MOISTURE AND OIL TRAP (7).
a.
Check jar gasket (8) and element gasket (9) for damage. Notify
general support maintenance.
b.
Check for dirt and excessive oil.
c.
Clean with cleaning compound (item 3, app C) using rag (item 14,
app C).
