C. START SWITCH MAY BE DEFECTIVE.

1 Connect one multimeter lead to START switch contact (1) and

connect other lead to START switch contact (2).

2 Push the START button and check for continuity. If continuity does

not exist, replace the START switch (p 6-219).

3 If main drive motor fails to start, proceed to step D.

D. STOP SWITCH MAY BE DEFECTIVE.

1 Connect one multimeter lead to STOP switch contact (1) and

connect other lead to STOP switch contact (2).

2 Check for continuity. If no continuity exists, replace the STOP

switch (p 6-219). The STOP switch is normally closed (N/C).

3 If main drive motor fails to start, proceed to step E.
