Inventory the contents of the DMS-D and DMS-G test units to assure that all equipment is on hand and in serviceable condition. (Refer to TM 9-4935-
481-34-P.)

Place all items of equipment in the appropriate compartments in the DMS-D test set cover and the DMS-G test kit case tray and cover. Secure the
cover latches.
2-9. Preparation for Extended Storage of Equipment.
For extended storage of the DMS (in excess of 2 weeks) observe the procedures of paragraphs 2-8 (preceeding) and 2-10 (following) plus:
a.
Prior to replacing the test unit cover, secure four 8-unit bags of desiccant (MIL-D-3464, type I) to the test unit panel
b.
Place a humidity indicator (MS20003-2) inside the test unit case away from the desiccant.
c.
Secure the test unit cover and close the pressure relief valves.
d.
Package the test set Level A, Military.
2-10. Operation Under Unusual Conditions.
If the DMS is to be operated in a high humidity environment, perform the following as applicable:
a.
Remove the DMM from the DMS-D and place three 8-unit bags of desiccant (MIL-D-3464, Type I) on the shelf above the DMM connectors. Tape a
humidity indicator (MS20003-2) on the top of the DMM with a piece of cardboard in between, and replace the DMM.
b.
Remove the DMS-G panel assembly from the case, and tape three 8-unit bags of desiccant (MIL-D-3464, Type I) to the inside of the case. Tape a
humidity indicator (MS20003-2) inside the case away from the desiccant.
c.
Inspect the humidity indicator(s) every 7-10 days, and perform the indicated functions.
