TM 5-2420-230-10
The IHMEE vehicle is equipped with run-flat inserts, allowing the vehicle to be driven with one or more flat tires.
Do not exceed 30 mph (48 km/h) or 60 min. total drive time during any run-flat operation. Loss of
vehicle control may occur, causing damage to equipment and injury or death to personnel.
Speeds indicated in Table 3-4.1 are maximum speeds and must be reduced when traveling on
secondary roads, cross-country, or with traffic present. Failure to reduce speeds could result in loss
of vehicle control, causing damage to equipment and injury or death to personnel.
a. When a flat tire occurs while driving, immediately reduce speed to 30 mph (48 km/h). If a combination of flat tires
occurs, reduce vehicle speed as indicated in Table 3-4.1. Do not drive more than 30 mi. (48 km), or for longer than
60 min. with a flat tire.
